This is one of my favorite times of the year.
The shadows of the summer leaves have been replaced with a golden glow of the sunlight shining under and through the changing leaves. The foreboding shadows of the forest have been replaced by a golden warmth. And the air is crisp and cool so that the hearth of the sheets warms the soul in the night.
Of course, there is the creeping chill that is winter, but that change only heightens my anticipation.
Not having grown up with a change of season, I enjoy the life that is glorified in this wonder.
